Why we built it
We’ve been playing fantasy football for more than 20 years, and we built LineupBeat to bring the information we use to make fantasy decisions into one place.
Fantasy football is an information game, and some of the most useful information comes from the beat reporters covering each team every day.
They see who is getting first team reps, who is limited at practice, who is moving up the depth chart, and whose role may be changing. The problem is that this reporting is spread across 32 NFL markets and hundreds of sources.
LineupBeat brings it together.
We follow an average of four beat reporters for every NFL team, match their reporting to the players it affects, and always credit the original source.
We pair that reporting with fantasy data to help you make better decisions.
After more than 20 years of playing fantasy football, we know nobody has all the answers.
Our goal is simple: put more of the right information in one place, before you make your next fantasy decision.
How LineupBeat works
LineupBeat is independent. We do not accept payment for coverage, placement, rankings, or projections.
Beat reporting
We follow local reporters across all 32 NFL markets. Every report is paraphrased in our own words, matched to the player it affects, and credited and linked to the original reporter. We do not reproduce reporters’ work.
Fantasy data
We build our own fantasy projections from projected player stat lines, so you can see the numbers behind every fantasy point total. We also use market, roster, schedule, and historical data from established sources, including Fantasy Football Calculator, Sleeper, and nflverse.
How we handle the data
We would rather show uncertainty than pretend to know something we do not.
If we cannot confidently match a report to a player, we mark it as unmatched instead of guessing.
We also try not to count the same information twice. Coaching, durability, schedule, projections, and draft value answer different questions and are kept separate.
Our projections are estimates, not guarantees. When new information is strong enough to change an assumption, we update them. When it is not, we do not move a player just because of a headline.
When we get something wrong
Forecasts will be wrong. Facts should not be.
If you find an incorrect team, reporter, statistic, source, or other factual error, email hello@lineupbeat.com and we will correct it.
Disagreeing with a projection is different, and we welcome that too. Those disagreements are part of what makes fantasy football interesting.
How current is the data?
The Wire updates throughout the day.
Rosters and ADP refresh daily. Projections are updated when the underlying assumptions change.
Every data page shows when it was last updated.

Where the market drafts a player against where our board ranks him, as a gap you can check.
Durability
Games actually played since 2018. Historical fact, no projection.
Strength of schedule
Opponent record and fantasy points allowed by position, with the week-by-week schedule behind each rating.
Offensive coaching
Who calls each offense and which positions that favors. A tiebreaker, not a ranking.
